Advent

"It's the most wonderful time of the year!"
I have to say that Christmas time is one of my favorites. I even sneek and listen to Christmas music during the other parts of the year. I always take time to remember how my Dad and I would put up the Christmas tree together while sipping on eggnog and listening to Christmas music. (Man I loved that plastic tree :) Dad and I would string on the Christmas lights (knowing that as soon as Suzy our art student came home she would totally rearrange them) and hang up our ornaments. We always had a blazing fire going and would spend many evenings reading near it's warmth. I would even sneak out to read by the light of the Christmas tree after everyone was asleep.
I have to say that without Dad and our time putting up the fake tree that we no longer have, Christmas isn't the same, but I'm getting back into the swing of things, and for the first time since Havre I actually have a kind of fire place by which to sit. (a pellet stove, but still..)
Ah yes and no seasonal dialog would be complete without a mention of the reason for the season. Jesus's birth! Advent starts this Sunday, I wish I could remember what this Sunday is called, Peace, or Joy? Not sure, But I'll try to update you on Sunday, Maybe I'll have advent here on my Blog, I'm pretty sure my roomates would think me a bit over the top if I tried to involve them. :0)
